Clockwork Orange Shirt - ASOS DESIGN

Picked this shirt up from ASOS, from their own 'ASOS DESIGN' brand. I was googling for toys & found this instead! It was on sale, so I couldn't NOT buy it! Thankfully they still had a size small in stock, so it only took about 30 seconds to make a decision on this!

It's nice to find clothing that isn't a t-shirt for once, I do enjoy a collared shirt! This shirt was made in Turkey(who knew that was a fashion hub?) & is 100% viscose. It drapes wonderfully & is incredibly comfortable! The print isn't too thick, which hopefully means this shirt will have a nice long life! I now have an excuse to improve my 'french tuck' technique!

I'm quite eager to wear this out(though it needs a iron first!), it'll create a wonderful smart-casual look! I'm almost tempted to wear it to my brothers wedding in March(which I'm sure would go down well with my family)! Though honestly I feel I could wear this all year round. A nice extra layer in spring, or over a long-sleeve in winter. I love a versitile piece of clothing!

I do love a random 'find'. It's not the first time I've stumbled across A Clockwork Orange clothing, but it's often beyond my price range. It was nice to find something on sale for once!
As I write this, these shirts were still availble, though admittedly only a few sizes left, so if you want one, now is the time! You can find them here.

Stanley Kubrick Production tees & more!

I received a newsletter from Dolls Kill today with a selection of 'pop culture costumes'. Amongst them, they had one they called the 'Strange Pleasure Costume Set', which is quite obviously A Clockwork Orange inspired.

If I celebrated Halloween & was willing to wear something so revealing, I'd be all over that... but alas, it's a bit extreme for me.

However, as I stared at this costume, I noticed her bag! The 'Got Milk Crossbody Bag' is also available from Dollskill & honestly, I'm so eager to buy one! I'd probably never actually use it, but it's a visual I need in my home!

It's such a fun item & really an obvious creation when you think about it. How are there not more milk-carton A Clockwork Orange things in this world?!?!

DollsKill also stock products from O-Mighty, including this epic 'Stanley Kubrick Production tank'.

If you're looking for a variation on this design, there are multiple different choices on O-Mightys website, but Dolls Kill seem to be out of stock of them all except the cropped tank.

For anyone seeking a basic unisex t-shirt, Mondotees stock a 'Stanley Kubrick Production' t-shirt as well, amongst may other Kubrick inspired products!

And while I'm here, Dumbgood also have a huge range of Stanley Kubrick inspired t-shirts at the moment! The A Clockwork Orange t-shirt is obviously my favourite. Nice & simple with Alex on the front & the title on the back.

Dumbgood have multiple designs based on A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, The Shining & 2001: A Space Odyssey available. It's a pretty impressive range & definitely worth having a look!

There's always something 'Kubrick' inspired out there to wear, but these are just my latest findings. I truly love the concept of 'Stanley Kubrick Production' shirts, super fun idea! Hopefully I'll acquire one one day. For now, that milk bag is my mission in life!

Kokon To Zai A/W 15

So I was randomly searching on Google & I came across ANOTHER fashion collection inspired by ACO. Apparently it must be a common theme this year, not that I'm complaining!
Kokon To Zais Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is stunning! A beautiful melding of black & white, through pattern & contrast.
It's definitely a 'statement' collection. The entire collection seems to have evolved from a A Clockwork Orange style, though not every piece makes a direct reference.

I highly recommend checking out the entire collection, but I just wanted to share the outfits that truly stood out to me.
It makes me endlessly happy that designers acknowledge the timelessness of boots & bowler hats!

The Blonds - FW15

A little something different today. I just learned that a A Clockwork Orange inspired collection made it onto the catwalks of Fashion Week 2015. The Blonds put together an amazing collection. It's wonderful to see Kubricks influence within fashion & I thought I'd share it.

The show was opened with Wendy Carlos's take on, "Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary." A wonderful statement to the inspiration for the collection.
I'm really in awe, I rather hope I can find somewhere in Brisbane where I can view these pieces in person.
I recommend checking out The Blonds facebook page for more photos of the collection!
