Michelorangelo Clockwork Pizza - Jumbo Nuggatron

First designer toy of the year! A fun piece of resin to get things rolling! Part of Jumbo Nuggatrons 'Saturday Morning Horror Showoffs' series, Michelorangelo is a super fun parody toy & a welcome addition to my collection!
I had intended to buy one of these last year, took me a bit longer to pull the money together then I expected(not unusual), but I got there in the end! Thankfully, Jumbo Nuggatron is very friendly AND has the patience of a saint!

Made of resin & just over 4 inches tall. This toy is part of Jumbo Nuggatrons "Saturday Morning Horror Showoffs" series(as mentioned above), which are all based on movie related characters. It's one of 3 different toy lines he's currently focusing on. The other two are "Genetically Modified Organisms" which are all food related characters & "Super Handcast Resin Crusaders" which are all Superheroes and Villains. Turtles seem to be the base for all of these collections. A base form that seems to work surprisingly well for every design Jumbo Nuggatron has endeavoured to create!

Tragically during transit a bit of paint rubbed off on the inside of the package(so mild it didn't even show up in my photos). Not the first time I've had this happen with a toy. The backing card is a little dinged up around the edges too, but again, not an uncommon problem. Honestly not stressed about it, at least the toy is still in one piece!

I absolutely LOVE the artwork on the back of this! It totally caught me off guard! There I was snagging some photos, flipped it over to see if there was any details on the back & instead I was pleasantly surprised by the most epic piece of art! This amazing card art is by Puta Lock, who lends his amazing skills to all of Jumbo Nuggatrons toy packaging.
The back of the card also made me aware that these are limited edition! Mine is number 5 of 18.

There are a handful of these still available, along with a few other amusing parody toys! You can grab one in Jumbo Nuggatrons store.

Cockwork Orange Bukkake - TRU:TEK x Electric Monarchy

This was one of those 'I'm lucky I looked!' purchases! I have an instagram account, but I don't really use it(no smart phone). A few weeks ago however, I decided to have a scroll through my feed & I'm so glad I did! If it wasn't for my aimless online behaviour, I never would have been aware this even existed!

It's almost impossible to capture the 'orange' of this toy. Every one of my photos looks different & not a single one is accurate! But to be entirely honestly... I bought this for the packaging!

Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE fan of this sculpt. This is actually my second Bukkake. The original Bukkake was GID, you can read about it on my other blog Stuff & Things. The A Clockwork Orange nature of this one however, obviously appealed to my Kubrick obsession!

This Cockwork Orange Bukkake was available from Softoy Hobby. There was only 10 available & they've sold out now. They were TRU:TEKs exclusive version of the sculpt. It was designed by electric monarchy & was sculpted by macsorro.

This little rubber-resin pile of cum also came with extra eye stickers & they threw in an awesome Jaws-ooze pin! I'm super happy about snagging this!

For good measure, I took a few photos with one of my mini The Rocking Machine toys. Not my greatest photography attempt, but it amused me.

You can find TRU:TEK on instagram or stop by Softoy Hobby.
You can also check out electric monarchy & macsorro on instagram too!

miniKUBREY - Monolith - Codeczombie

To my great surprise, Codeczombie started working on mini versions of his Kubrey sculpt a few months ago. I was so excited, but had to wait patiently for an online release(with one or two conventions releases to tease me in the meantime). The day finally arrived & Codeczombie released 3 different versions! Monolith(black), Redrum(red) & Typewriter(yellow).

Being poor, I had to settle on buying only one. I went with the Monolith version because currently I'm indulging a 2001: A Space Odyssey obsession, also who doesn't like black? I'm seriously considering saving up for the other two while they're still available.

Perhaps due to my continued patronage, Codeczombie send me an extra mini Kubrey! It was a fantastic surprise when I opened my package! I've been told it was intended to be orange, but as it was a colour trial, it turned out fleshy. Either way, it's a one-off & it's a wonderful new addition to my Kubrey collection!

I'm a huge fan of Codeczombies work. His skill with design & the excution of his ideas amazes me! I'm so proud to be the owner of some of his work & remain very excited to see what he creates in the future!

The new minis have found a home in my cabinet with my full-sized blank Kubrey. A lovely contrast of colours, that I can only hope to add more to in the future!

The mini Kubreys are still available, you can buy them here: miniKUBREY

I honestly couldn't recommend these little chunks of resin more! For only €25.00 they're a total bargain.

You can follow Codeczombie on facebook, instagram, Tumblr & Twitter.

Clockwork Banana - Greenbag Toys

I recently received the most wonderful A Clockwork Orange custom from Greenbag Toys(Chester Greenbag), dubbed 'Clockwork Banana'.
Using the brilliant 'Sammy - Sado Friend' as a base(you can read more about original Sammy here: Sammy - Sado Friend - Greenbag Toys), I've received something truly amazing & unique!

So much effort went into this toy it's incredible! Even the packaging had a custom back-card! And it came with it's own banana-parody of 'The Rocking Machine' & look at that adorable little hat! Brilliant!
Greenbag Toys took the time to create an awesome graphic design for 'Clockwork Banana' as well! My favourite of the prints I received, but i look forward to hanging them all on my walls!

The combination of Sammys sadistic nature, with the ultraviolence of Alex DeLarge is genius really. A perfect meld of personalities. I'm so grateful to own this amazing custom piece! This is my third A Clockwork Orange custom toy & it's a truly worthy addition to my collection!

Though 'Clockwork Banana' is one of a kind(it's mine! MWAHAHAHAHA), Greenbag Toys has created numerous versions of Sammy & there's been some amazing custom work done as well! If you're interested in Sammy, you can find/contact Greenbag Toys on facebook & instagram

Kubrey by C O D E C Z O M B I E & Fancy Edition Ice Scream Man by Brutherford Industries

I have two new toys to share with you today. I know I've been a bit slack with my blogging recently(have another post I'm still working on, that technically, I should have posted about a month ago... but I'll get there), but I'm determined to put more effort in(few changes in my life lately, really need to find something to pass the time).
So anyway, back to the point. During some recent browsing, I ended up on ViciousFun(they constantly have things I want) & I noticed they had acquired a Fancy Pants Ice Scream Man.

Image resized to reflect 'actual size'

Though I had no funds at the time, I instantly contacted them about international shipping & a couple of weeks later, it's mine! Really a stunning piece, all hand made by Brutherford Industries. It took me two years to hunt one down(in fact, it's one of the toys that inspired me to start this blog: here), but it was worth all that effort!!! Not technically 'A Clockwork Orange', but I read rumours that that's where the inspiration came from. Regardless, it shall live amongst my ACO pieces.

A few weeks ago I became aware of C O D E C Z O M B I E, just in time for them to release a Stanley Kubrick inspired toy called a 'Kubrey'. Three versions were created, Regular, DIY Blank & 5 FLUO figures(each a different colour).

Regular version

FLUO Versions

Blank DIY version

I was greatly concerned I'd never acquire one, they're a little pricey for my usual cash flow. Thankfully I have some awesome friends & my best friend offered to purchase the blank version for me for my birthday. Last weekend he popped around with it & now it has a place in my cabinet(as you can see, my collection has migrated to the top shelf of my cabinet).

It's a stunning piece of resin. 4.3inches tall & surprisingly well balanced considering the size of the head(& the tiny size of the feet!). Truly one of the most amazing pieces I own! Eager to see what C O D E C Z O M B I E creates in the future.

Definitely toys worthy of my collection. I'm insanely happy about these acquisitions. Hopefully I'll have more new stuff to share soon. It's been one of those years where money has been a struggle, but that hasn't stopped me!

BIG Catch-Up!

Well, as you may have noticed, I've been a bit useless with my blogging lately. It's nothing new, I'm lazy. There's even a chance I pre-warned you all in previous entries about this bad habit of mine! I've decided it's finally time to catch-up & show you all my recent acquisitions, so bare with me!

First & foremost, the toy that took me longer to acquire then anything else EVER, the Crockman Hommage Statue.
I first stumbled across this epic piece of resin about 2.5years ago. In that time period, nothing went right. The original website that stocked them, didn't ship to Aus, so I found another site, but they had run out of stock. That's around the time I gave up on the idea, but then a friend suggested M-World Service. They found my toy within a matter of hours! Cost me a little extra, but it was worth every penny!
By far one of my all time favourite ACO acquisitions, though tragically I don't have the space to display it at the moment. Hopefully, I'll have a new cabinet soon to put him in.

Crockman Hommage Statue - Lucky Rudy

There are other versions of this, which I WOULD like to seek out one day, but for now the OG version makes me happy. Here are the others:

There I was, doing my daily eBay search for ACO items & I stumbled across a mobile phone cover. Pretty retro, absolutely obsolete these days, but as I had no intention of opening the packaging, it was destined to become part of my collection! Was also useful to know Lucastar had a eBay store! While I was at it, I ordered a 2nd ACO phone charm(I may potentially do a contest in the future & toss that in!). The phone cover is by a brand called Lex Lutor, who don't seem to exist anymore. Tragically I'm pretty sure I also ordered the last one Lucastar had in stock(so you're all out of luck!). Nice bit of randomness to add to my stuff though.
Mobile Accessories - Lucastar

As always, Frank Kozik has continued to produce items that I simply MUST have in my collection. I blogged about his mini busts a few months ago(Mini Orange Clear Resin Lugwig Van Busts), he then released another, the 'Milk Plus' version. Of course I needed it, so I got my money together & thankfully was able to acquire one.

Mini Ludwig Bust - Milk Plus - Frank Kozik

When I first started this blog(The Woes Of Collecting or 'Why I Created This Blog' ), I was driven to do so because I had learned about some recent releases, which I had missed the opportunity to buy. Specifically, a toy called 'Nadsat Boy' by Kenth. I'm still seeking that piece of vinyl awesomeness, however Kenth recently released another ACO inspired toy. This time, in resin.
There was a lottery for this toy, I feel incredibly lucky to have won the opportunity to purchase one. It's tiny & delicate & articulated(even it's head swivels!)!

Kenth Toys(Komori Kentaro) - Basic Wars - Nadsat Boy

Ok, so that's basically all the new toys & stuff. Now, the artwork.... or at least the artwork I recently hung(i'm a bit slack with hanging art).

Stuff I've recently hung(some new acquisitions, some old):

James Flames - You Are Invited

James Flames does epic work & I'm so glad to finally have this poster up(it had been sitting in a tube for over a year). The photo looks a little weird, as it's hanging on an angled wall(nice use of space I thought!). Took two tries to get it to stay up, but I got there in the end!

Dolicia

Picked this up on etsy(again, at least a year ago). It's an original by a woman called 'Dolicia'. Tragically, I can't find any additional info about her & her etsy store seems to be gone now. The moment I saw this painting I wanted it & Dolicia was kind enough to hold it for me. I'm incredibly happy to finally have it on my walls(the other painting is a gilcee print from R.S.Connett for anyone wondering).

Wellbound Productions- Tim Allen - Clockwork Ted
I recently went to the Brisbane Alternative Expo(b'day outing with my Dad) & the very first thing I found, was a ACO item. The guys from Wellbound Productions do awesome work, but of course, I went with Clockwork Ted. A beautifully messy, yet effective piece of art. I got to have a chat with the guys & Tim Allen signed the print for me. I'm very much looking forward to the next Expo(and hopefully one or two conventions this year too!). A great little b'day bonus for myself & thankfully, I happened to have a frame kicking around that fit it.

For now, that's it on the art front. I have a few other pieces kicking around in tubes(even have a new piece on it's way), but I'm all out of frames/mylar sleeves/ or any other 'hanging' solutions that will fit my remaining pieces. I'm working on the problem.

To finish up, here's some updated shots of my cabinet. There's a handful of things missing, as I currently can't fit them in(nice to have my stuff back from the museum, but problematic thanks to buying so much new stuff last year). I'm pretty happy with how much I've managed to squeeze in there though!

There's a couple of other things I thought about sharing, but I have counterparts for them arriving soon, so I shall share the rest in future blog entries. For now, be jealous of all my new epicness!

Mini Orange & Clear Resin Ludwig Van Busts - Frank Kozik

Finally some Frank Kozik busts to add to my collection! Somehow I've missed, or been too poor, for every other Ludwig Van bust release in the past, but I managed to acquire the most recent mini resin busts. Of course, I would have had them a week ago if Australia Post weren't so incapable, but that's another story.
These busts were released for Designer Con this year(mentioned in a post on my other blog: DCON & Supanova), limited to 50 each. Luckily Kozik had a few lefts after the convention & listed them in his online store. They were simply too appealing, not to blow some cash on them.

Rather melodramatic toys really, the facial expression is perfect.
Of course, another new toy meant I had to reorganise my cabinet(again) to fit them in. Bit of a tedious process, one which won't work after I acquire one or two more items. Managed to squeeze the busts in next to my Clockwork Carrot, a nice little 'Kozik' section. It'll be nice when I get a new cabinet & my items back from the museum, then my Kozik selection will appear much more impressive. For now, small but effective.

Yet another brilliant addition to my collection. It's been a good year for ACO acquisitions, still hoping for one or two more before the year ends. Hopefully next year, I can hunt down the few I missed the opportunity to own this year. Though I do have many other future purchases coming in the future! Happy Holidays everyone & thanks for reading!

Mexican Toys - Homer Parodies - Alex

Here's a little something I stumbled across on eBay recently. A Homer Simpson Alex parody. Now, don't quote me on this, but from all my hunting, I'm pretty sure they're made by a company/artist called 'Mexican Toys'. They do parodies of all sort of characters, justice league for example, but Alex is of course where, my interest lay.

It's a beautiful item, a smooth paint job, the walking stick is a loose accessory, slides into the left hand & it's about 5.5inches tall. Overall a stunning figure, I'm incredibly pleased with it. By far one of the greatest items I've found on eBay all year.

I'm unsure how limited they are, I only found a few sites listing them, or with details about them. My suggestion if you want one, seek one out as soon as possible. The eBay seller I bought from claimed they were handmade(though there's no artist signature & I personally wonder, considering the perfectly smooth quality of the paint), so there's a chance the numbers are very low. I think it's a wonderful piece, completely worth adding to ones collection.

Les Chieurs - Pooping Stars - Clockwork Orange

Stumbled across this rather unusual little figure a couple of months ago. Part of a highly amusing selection of figures by Les Chieurs from his Pooping Star series. The Clockwork Orange 'Pooping Star'

"Pooping stars is a collection of ironic figures that caricature famous people with their trousers round their ankles and their bottoms bare! In only a few years, this Catalan tradition, called caganers, has become trendy representing World leaders in a “politically incorrect” position. A symbol of luck and prosperity, the caganers put everyone in their place and remind us that even famous people take a crap… an unusual and funny gift that you won’t buy your grand-mother!"

Essentially, the idea of his figures is 'Everybody poops' including pop culture characters & social figures such as the Queen & the Pope! So greatly amusing, yet so true.
So glad I managed to find a little space for him in my cabinet. Particularly because I didn't take into consideration it's 4.5inches tall. For some reason I had it in my head he'd be half the size! Though I'm quite impressed by it's 'presence' in my cabinet.

One of my favourite ACO finds of the year, all thanks to attempting to hunt down another toy on Google image. After 5hours of hunting that day, I'd found quite a few things I didn't know existed. This is the first of more to come.
