Michelorangelo Clockwork Pizza - Jumbo Nuggatron

First designer toy of the year! A fun piece of resin to get things rolling! Part of Jumbo Nuggatrons 'Saturday Morning Horror Showoffs' series, Michelorangelo is a super fun parody toy & a welcome addition to my collection!
I had intended to buy one of these last year, took me a bit longer to pull the money together then I expected(not unusual), but I got there in the end! Thankfully, Jumbo Nuggatron is very friendly AND has the patience of a saint!

Made of resin & just over 4 inches tall. This toy is part of Jumbo Nuggatrons "Saturday Morning Horror Showoffs" series(as mentioned above), which are all based on movie related characters. It's one of 3 different toy lines he's currently focusing on. The other two are "Genetically Modified Organisms" which are all food related characters & "Super Handcast Resin Crusaders" which are all Superheroes and Villains. Turtles seem to be the base for all of these collections. A base form that seems to work surprisingly well for every design Jumbo Nuggatron has endeavoured to create!

Tragically during transit a bit of paint rubbed off on the inside of the package(so mild it didn't even show up in my photos). Not the first time I've had this happen with a toy. The backing card is a little dinged up around the edges too, but again, not an uncommon problem. Honestly not stressed about it, at least the toy is still in one piece!

I absolutely LOVE the artwork on the back of this! It totally caught me off guard! There I was snagging some photos, flipped it over to see if there was any details on the back & instead I was pleasantly surprised by the most epic piece of art! This amazing card art is by Puta Lock, who lends his amazing skills to all of Jumbo Nuggatrons toy packaging.
The back of the card also made me aware that these are limited edition! Mine is number 5 of 18.

There are a handful of these still available, along with a few other amusing parody toys! You can grab one in Jumbo Nuggatrons store.
You can check out more of Jumbo Nuggatrons work on his facebook & instagram

Barson Edition Droog Bust

As per my usual, I apologise for the lack of posts this week. So now time to make up for it with something fantastic. My Barsom Edition Droog Bust arrived this week from Retro Outlaw. A beautiful edition to my collection, I simply love Retro Outlaws work. Sculpted by Barsom Manashian & molded by Chris Santoro. This is probably my favourite addition to my collection this year. The detail is amazing.

A few little extras were thrown into my package(I'm a repeat customer. Or one could perhaps use the word 'obsessed', in regards to my great need to own Retro Outlaws ACO inspired pieces). A couple of small items are always a nice surprise when one orders something.

For now, this bust finds it's home next to my 'Droog Leader'(also from Retro Outlaw, they have a few variations still available online). Hopefully I've found myself a new cabinet(potentially for free) that will be replacing my current one in the task of holding my ACO collection. So try to think of my occasional cabinet photo as a 'temporary home' kind of thing.

These busts are still available - here. Limited edition run of 100, 9inches tall & $120. They're worth every penny.

Fashion Victim Sybil or 'Living Dead Devotchka'

So, you might be wondering why I'm doing a post about a Living Dead Doll. Well, the very first ACO item I ever bought(besides the movie & book) was the Living Dead Doll Fashion Victim Sybil. Also, posting about items I don't own,(or may never own) was starting to get me down a little, so I thought I'd discuss something I DO own & still love.

My Sybils(my red curtains messed with the lighting)

Now, from the front, you may think this is just another of LDDs many psychotic dolls... though perhaps with a little less clothing then usual.

But turn the box around & take a closer look & we find an entirely different outfit & the reason I think of Sybil as a fellow droog & why I consider her my first official ACO collectable.

Currently, my Fashion Victim Sybil is at the Queensland Museum, amongst many of my other items(including some of my ACO collection). Part of an exhibit called 'Collectomania'. I'll be blogging about it in a week or two, when I get new photos.

The Woes Of Collecting or 'Why I Created This Blog'

So, I've been collecting A Clockwork Orange items on & off for the last 14years or so. I do regular searches online, to try & keep up with any new toys/art released. Recently however, I've miss the opportunity to own a few items, simple due to being unaware they existed until it was too late. It seemed to me, the logical thing to do, was attempt to draw more ACO collectors to my attention, thus reducing the change of missing future aquisitions. So yeah I am, creating a new blog. I plan to blog about myself a lot(I love to share pictures of my collection), along with new items I've found, or bought... & well, most likely a lot of Stanley Kubrick stuff... Because the man was a film God. So to get this blog started, here's a collection of images, of the items that inspired me to start this blog... Items I'll quite possibly never own(though of course, if anyone knows where I might find any of these items... PLEASE let me know!).

Just a little information about each item, incase anyone was interest:

1. Nadsat Boy by Kenth ~ I found this recently, it's existance shocked me. Had no idea this had been created. As you can see, other then one-offs, only blanks have been made so far & they're sold-out. I commented on one of the images on Kenths facebook, seems like more will be made, potentially a coloured version with higher numbers. So that's good news! I have no idea how many blanks were created.

2. Droogie by MannyX ~ I found this literally two days after it was released & with a run of only 3(one glow in the dark) at only $40 a piece... I'm prettysure they sold out in about 10seconds. This is an item I'm sure I will never own...

3. Ice Scream Man by artransmitte x Brutherford ~ Limited to 50, this awesome vinyl creation is simple, but brilliant. Of course, it sold out just before I knew about it. This is one item I hope to be able to hunt down sooner rather then later.

4. The Old Ultraviolence by Yosiell Lorenzo ~ A beautiful example of Lorenzos work. Yet another item I'm sure I'll never own(additional details in the photos).
